Officer’s Messages – May 2023

From the East

Brethren,

A very good April and with some significant accomplishments. For May, we have the stated meeting on the 1st Wednesday, hopefully a Master Mason Degree on the Second Wednesday, and the family dinner on the 4th Wednesday. We also have a proficiency scheduled for the stated meeting which will serve as our education.

The Grand Master will be doing his official visitation at Boulder City Lodge Number 37 on May 2nd at 7:30 pm. I plan on attending and I am hoping we can have a significant Mount Moriah visit to support our Brothers in Boulder City. This will be his first GMOV after returning from the Grand Lodge in the Philippines. As with most of you, I am looking forward to hearing all about that event.

The Grand Master GMOV at Robert Burns #59 will be held on Thursday, May 18th at 7 pm. I would also like to attend that GMOV to support the many members of Mount Moriah who are also members of Robert Burns. Please let me know if any of you are interested in attending either of these events.

Fraternally yours,
Kevin Webster, WM.

From the West

As we continue our journey in the craft, I encourage you to remember the importance of upholding the principles and values of Freemasonry, as well as the ritual while conferring a degree.

The Third Degree is said to be the most sublime of all the Degrees that the Blue Lodge has to offer in Masonry, and my desire is to all be prepared to a high standard when it is to be conferred this month, on the 10th. Future practices will be scheduled and announced.

May the Great Architect of the Universe guide you in

your endeavors as you continue to serve the craft.

Fraternally from the West,
Vaslie Cristian Gilga, SW.

From the South

As we fastly approach the summer months, proper planning for hydration and nourishment, to endure rising temperatures, should be carefully observed and practiced.  As we reflect upon “Temperance”- modern definition: moderation or voluntary self-restraint.  This keep us safe!  Let’s convene on the harmony that our Masonic bodies so dearly cherish, and enjoy the month of May.

Fraternally from the South,
Bedford Jackson, JW

Fraternally,
