It is with profound sadness that our Most Worshipful Clarence Eugene “Bud” Shead laid down his working tools and crossed to that Great Celestial Lodge Above on February 10, 2017, four days from his 87th birthday. MW Bud’s was a 58-year member of Mt Moriah, our Worshipful Master in 1978, and our Grand Master of Masons in Nevada for 1995. Our thought and prayers are with Bud, His family, and his Masonic Brotherhood.
Thank you to all that made the George Washington Observance and dinner a great success.
The Nevada Masonic Leadership Conference (Las Vegas) is scheduled for Friday evening, April 21 through Sunday morning April 23 at the MMT, 2200 West Mesquite, Las Vegas. The Conference details, registration forms are available from the Lodge Secretary or on the Nevada Grand Lodge website. We would love to have the lodge well represented at the conference. The deadline is April 1st but the Grand Lodge would appreciate your efforts to register as soon as possible.

Our 2017 Nevada Masonic Leadership Conference is upon us and we should attend in large numbers. It’s important that we do; we as men must REALIZE that it is ok to learn, solicit and accept wisdom from other men. It does not denote weakness!
Having been fascinated by the maxims of Freemasonry I often ask myself why isn’t everyone partaking, especially more Masons. One of the very reasons our esteemed institution exists, is so that men may pass useful information along to other men when deemed necessary. Our jurisdiction goes to great lengths to provide information for our disposal, so let’s assure them that it’s not done in vain.
In closing, as a Brother once told me “help me help you to help us”. NOW I GET IT!!!

I hope the month of March is productive and fun for everyone. Thanks to all the Brothers that helped out with the George Washington dinner last month. It was a big success!
This month we will be having chili before the stated dinner. The family dinner will be on 03/08/2017. We’ll be having ham and assorted sides. Bring the family!

All please see following message from the Grand Lecturer, John M. Buffington, P.G.M., in regards to the NMLC 2017:

I would like to see all DDGLs and DGLs at the Sunday Grand Lecturer workshops. I am planning part of the session specifically for the DGLs.
Las Vegas Conference is scheduled for Friday evening, April 21 through Sunday morning April 23 at the MMT, 2200 West Mesquite, Las Vegas.
The 2017 registration form is also attached. Please get this into Michelle at the Grand Lodge office along with the fees for those attending asap.
